I have a diet/health record workbook that I've made... when I get around to making some copies, I will post something about it... the donation button via PayPal is so that if anyone wanted one.. they would be able to donate something for the cost.
A good patient is an informed one. Topic suggestions on Basic health issues are welcome here. This information does not take the place of competent medical care. There are always things that aren't accounted for with medical information that's available on the net.

Why treat SYMPTOMS?
Treating symptoms is often just as important as treating the cause of an illness. An example is a cold where coughing is an issue. If you allow the coughing to go unchecked, that can lead to further complications or infections.
With a cold, it's best to ride out the storm with as few complications as possible. Treat the cough (Delsym, grape flavor is my favorite. It's a 12 hour cough syrup.) and the runny nose (vitamin C is a natural anti-histamine). Treat other symptoms appropriately. Chicken noodle soup is still good comfort food that may speed recovery.
If the cough syrup doesn't last the full duration that it promises, don't over medicate... just swallow a bit of honey (not with children or babies, though). Don't get crazy with the honey either.
Getting enough sleep, eating alkaline forming foods and mild exercise will go a long way to preventing weakness to colds and flu's. Hand sanitizer and not touching door knobs and such helps too.
